## Finding a shop

Look for these blips on the map:

| Blip | Place | What you can change |
| --------------- | ------------------------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------- |
| Clothing Store | Binco, Sub Urban, Ponsonbys, Discount Store | Clothes and accessories |
| Barber | 7 barbers | Hair, facial hair, eyebrows, makeup, blush, lipstick |
| Tattoo Shop     | 6 tattoo parlours                           | Tattoos                                              |
| Plastic Surgeon | Pillbox Hill | Heritage and face features |

Walk to the counter and press **E**, or use your target eye.

## Shopping for clothes

1. Pick a category: **CLOTHING**, **UPPER BODY ACCESSORIES**, **HAND & WRIST ACCESSORIES** or **HEAD ACCESSORIES**. You can also click the small circles on your character (head, torso, feet...) to jump to a category.
2. Click an item: it appears on you right away. Use **←** / **→** on a selected item to cycle its colours.
3. Tops have a **CUSTOMIZATION** panel with STYLES (every colour), UNDERSHIRTS and NECKWEAR, so you can finish the look without leaving the list.
4. Press **TAB** to **CONFIRM**. The TOTAL COST strip shows what you'll pay.

Only what actually changed is charged. Press **ESC** at the start screen to leave without buying: your original clothes come back.

### Finding things fast

| Tool          | How                                                              |
| ------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Search        | Press **/** and type                                             |
| Sort | Default, name, price up or down |
| Filter | All, FAVORITES or OWNED |
| Favourites | Press **F** on an item to star it |
| Colour filter | The colour button next to search shows only items in that colour |

A lock icon means the item is reserved for a job, gang or group. A dimmed item doesn't fit well with something you're wearing.

## Barber, tattoos and surgeon

* **Barber**: pick a hairstyle from the grid, then the colour and highlights from real in-game swatches. Extra tabs cover facial hair, eyebrows, makeup, blush and lipstick.
* **Tattoo parlour**: choose a body zone (head, torso, arms, legs), apply tattoos and set their opacity. **REMOVE ALL** clears a zone.
* **Plastic surgeon**: change your heritage and face features for one flat price.

Each place shows an itemised **TOTAL COST** before you confirm with **TAB**.

## Your wardrobe

Open **OUTFITS** at the start screen of any clothing store (or a wardrobe or locker).

| Tab                        | What's in it                           |
| -------------------------- | -------------------------------------- |
| MY OUTFITS | Your saved outfits |
| FAVORITES                  | Outfits you starred                    |
| SHARED | Your outfits that have a share code |
| RECENT | Outfits you wore lately |
| JOB OUTFITS / GANG OUTFITS | Uniforms for your job or gang and rank |

* **SAVE CURRENT OUTFIT**: give it a name and optional tags (`casual, work`).
* Select an outfit to **EQUIP**, **PREVIEW**, **RENAME**, **DUPLICATE**, **UPDATE**, **SHARE**, **FAVORITE** or **DELETE** it.
* You can keep up to **50** outfits.

In a store, an equipped outfit is only previewed until you confirm and pay for what changed. In a wardrobe it is worn right away and free.

## Sharing outfits

{% tabs %}
{% tab title="With a code" %}

1. Select an outfit and press **SHARE** (or **SHARE CURRENT OUTFIT**).
2. **COPY CODE** and send it to your friend. Codes look like `K7-3PQX-M2ZD`.
3. Your friend opens their wardrobe, chooses **IMPORT**, types the code, presses **PREVIEW**, names it and presses **IMPORT**.

Case, spaces and dashes don't matter. Old illenium outfit codes work too.
{% endtab %}

{% tab title="To someone nearby" %}

1. In the share window, press **SEND TO NEARBY PLAYER**.
2. Pick a player within 10 m and press **SEND**.
3. They get an **OUTFIT RECEIVED** card with **PREVIEW**, **SAVE** and **DECLINE**. If their menu is closed, they get a notification and see the card the next time they open it.

The offer is valid for 60 seconds.
{% endtab %}
{% endtabs %}

{% hint style="warning" %}
An outfit only fits the body it was made on (male, female or a special ped). You can still import it, but you can only wear it on the same body. Uniforms can't be shared.
{% endhint %}

## Outfit bags

Buy a bag at any clothing store (**Buy Outfit Bags**) and use it from your inventory to place it on the ground.

| Bag               | Outfits |
| ----------------- | ------- |
| Small Outfit Bag  | 2       |
| Medium Outfit Bag | 4       |
| Large Outfit Bag  | 8       |

As the owner you can **Add Outfit**, **Manage Saved Outfits** and **Pick Up Bag**. Anyone nearby can **Open Bag** and wear what's inside.

## Character creator

New characters start in the creator with six tabs: FACE & BODY, FACE ADJUSTMENTS, OVERLAYS, HAIR, APPAREL and TATTOOS. Switch tabs with **Q** and **E**. It's free, and you need to press **SAVE CHARACTER** to finish. Clothes, hair and tattoos can still be changed later at the shops.

## Language

Type **`/appearancelang ar`** for Arabic or **`/appearancelang en`** for English, or use the language button in the menu. Your choice is remembered.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://visionstore.gitbook.io/visionstore-docs/scripts/advanced-clothing/guides/player-guide.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
