# Quick start

From install to your first knockout in five minutes.

This walkthrough builds your first ring with the included ring model and runs a test fight.

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Open the creator

As an admin, type **`/boxingcreator`** and click **New ring**. Give it a name, for example *Downtown Gym*.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Place the ring prop

Go to **Ring prop → Place a ring prop**. A see-through ring follows your camera:

| Key                 | Action                                   |
| ------------------- | ---------------------------------------- |
| Mouse wheel / ← →   | Rotate (hold **Shift** to rotate faster) |
| Page Up / Page Down | Raise / lower                            |
| **E**               | Place it                                 |
| Backspace           | Cancel                                   |

Placing it fills in everything for you: the ring centre, the fighting area, both corners and the join point at the foot of the steps.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Save

Check the rules (gloves, bets, purse, max rounds, blip) and click **Save**. The ring appears for every player instantly.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Fight

Walk to the red marker at the foot of the steps and press **E**.

1. Take the **red** corner. A second player takes **blue**.
2. Pick rounds, round length, gloves and the purse.
3. Both press **Ready**. The walk-out, the tale of the tape and the bell follow.

Punch with **R** (light) and **Left Mouse** (heavy), hold **Right Mouse** to lock on, and press **Space** to dodge.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

**Tip:** testing alone? Set `Config.Debug = true`. The server console then prints every counted hit, which is perfect for tuning damage (see [Combat and knockdowns](/visionstore-docs/scripts/boxing-creator/configuration/combat-and-knockdowns.md)).
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://visionstore.gitbook.io/visionstore-docs/scripts/boxing-creator/quick-start.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
