# Quick start

From install to your first scope on a gun in five minutes.

This walkthrough uses the workbench that ships in the config, at the Ammu-Nation in Pillbox Hill, and fits a scope on a Carbine Rifle MK II.

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Give yourself a gun and a part

In game, give yourself a weapon and an attachment (or use your framework's give command):

```
/giveitem me WEAPON_CARBINERIFLE_MK2 1
/giveitem me at_scope_medium 1
```

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Go to the workbench

Follow the **Weapon Workshop** blip to the Ammu-Nation in Pillbox Hill and use the counter (ox\_target, qb-target or **E** at the prompt).

As an admin you can also type **`/weaponhub`** anywhere: it opens the hub where you stand, with no job, item or fee rules.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Pick the weapon

Choose the Carbine Rifle MK II from **Select Weapon**. It swings in front of you in the studio. Drag to rotate it and scroll to zoom.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Stage the scope

Open the **Optics** tab, pick the medium scope (it previews on the model) and press **Install**. The change is listed under **Changes**, with what it uses from your inventory.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Apply

Press **Apply Changes**. The scope item is used up and saved on the weapon. Close the hub and draw the gun: the scope is on it.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

{% hint style="success" %}
**Next:** put a bench where you want it. Stand there, type **`/weaponhub_here`**, and paste the copied entry into `config/locations.lua` (see [Workbenches](/visionstore-docs/scripts/weaponhub/configuration/workbenches.md)).
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://visionstore.gitbook.io/visionstore-docs/scripts/weaponhub/quick-start.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
